Dogfeld

This is a concept project. I wrote a short script and created concept art for an episode of a animation I call Dogfeld. It is based on Seinfeld except with dogs. It is a light hearted and fun show that takes place in New Yorkie City.
The basic premise is that Jerry and George see a news report that the illuminati is putting chocolate in the water of New Yorkie City and chocolate is bad for dogs. George gets fleas from Newman dropping off old tennis balls to his apartment and goes to get new snazzy clothes to replace his flea infested clothes. After George dresses up in his new attire he gets mistaken as mob leader: Don Pugleon.
He gets taken to the illuminati headquarters where he meets an old childhood friend who happens to be the leader of the illuminati. He convinces the leader to stop putting chocolate in the water and they instead start a tennis charity to help puppies.

Below is a collection of artwork from this concept idea. I used various mediums from pencil sketching, gouache and photoshop to illustrate these scenes. You can see some of my thought process building up these scenes to create this concept art.

This animation was a concept to show a mob boss Don Pugleon in his office. It was created with Adobe Animate,Flash and After Effects.

This is an overview of the entire episode in concept art thumbnails.

The opening scene would start like a classic Seinfeld episode. Jerry on stage doing stand up comedy.

Cut to a wide shot of New Yorkie City.

Pan and zoom landing on Jerry's apartment in the middle of the city. Below is a collection of sketches on how I developed the city apartment.

Jerry and George are watching television and see a news report on how chocolate is being put into the water.

The next morning Newman rides up in his mail truck. Here is a quick concept of Newman's mail truck development.

Newman goes up to George's apartment and drops off tennis balls he wants george to keep for him while he finishes work.

George goes back to bed and wakes up itching. Newman brought tennis balls with fleas on them.

George has an apartment infested with fleas and must buy all new outfits. Him and Kremer go to the store and George picks out some fancy new clothes. He wants to try a new style. A more respectable George.

The only problem George resembles mob leader Don Pugleon and with his new outfit they are almost identical. George and kremer are done shopping and a mob taxi pick them up mistaking them for Don Pugleon.

They get brought to mob headquarters.

They get brought to a mob meeting about putting water into the water and overthrowing Illuminati leader Danny Tanner.

A cut scene shows the water factory as they are talking about the plan.

George and Kremer are rushed into a helicopter and taken to the Illuminati HQ where the water is being infused by chocolate.

They arrive at Illuminati HQ.

The Illuminati leader turns out to be an old childhood friend of George from tennis practice. He explains he had no idea of the water trouble and was only interested in the cool free tote bags they offered him. George agrees the tote bags are cool. Danny Tanner the Illuminati leader agrees to shut down the water infusion.

They start a charity tennis league to help the puppies.
